How does energy transfer?

Great question. Hard question.

I am a firm believer in radical responsibility – in some way shape or form, when I have dense energy in my field – I have allowed it in. In this way, you take control and ownership of your energetic being and are then able to shift out of it. When responsibility is outside of yourself, you are always in a victim mentality and at the power of someone else.
That being said, energy can be purposely put onto someone, positive or otherwise. It is still up to that person, consciously or unconsciously, to accept. The biggest ways one allows energy in is via acceptance and engagement, or by dropping into their ego.
For example, if you attend a spiritual group meditation and part way though begin to feel uncomfortable and wish to leave, however you stay, you are now consenting to the energy by physically being there. This energy now has permission to enter your field because you have not honored your beings uncomfortableness by leaving. I’ve received feedback in this scenario of “it being a spiritual group, why would energy like this be there?” Negative energy can be anywhere – it’s up to you to honor your intuition and wear your protection or protect yourself by leaving. Staying because it’s a spiritual group and trusting that that is enough is naivete.
Another common example of acceptance via engagement is music – often times we know something is not in alignment but due to desire we do it anyway. If you know that after listening to heavy metal that you become agitated and unkind, but you do it anyway, you now consent to having that energy into your field. I noticed within myself after an afternoon of shopping and listening to the music they played, that the lyrics of Demi Lavato “heart attack” was stuck in my mind and field and had to play my own high calibrating music to get it out.
Another common way we accept energy into our field is by dropping into our ego. Dropping into the ego means dropping into any fear-based emotion or pride, anger, shame, guilt, rage, apathy, judgement or condemnation – likely to happen a few times in a day. When we drop into that field and STAY there, we are energetically saying “I accept this resonance and now allow similar resonance into my field.” If we are angry at the world and someone is angry at us, we allow in the energy of their anger and that takes on its own existence in our field.
In order to shift out of the Ego, we must bring awareness into consciousness. We become conscious of our anger, acknowledge that it is there, apologize to God as we know it for thinking the mean thoughts about our neighbor and ask for forgiveness – then, ask to be changed. It’s not about never dropping into a lower emotional state – that’s part of the human condition – but instead it’s about recognizing when we do and surrendering out of it. Eventually, it will become easier and easier to recognize, surrender, and eventually not drop so frequently into the egoic state. This being said – we do not want to judge ourselves. Judging when you drop again and again defeats the purpose, takes you away from the goal, and is still the ego trying to stay in control. Instead, we want to say thank you to the lower state for showing you more information to process and let go of, thank you for showing further areas of growth.
With Love,
Kassidy
